This place is home to your burger, fries, and hot dogs. So I loved it! The only thing I did not love were the lines, but I think when people come here, they expect the lines. There were about 5 different lines going on in the front, and all were pretty long. So be prepared. The food itself was pretty good. The burgers were squished instead of fluffy, it was interesting. The hot dog was good. Very much the after school hang out.

The room was nice and the neighborhood was good. For the money though, I would have to complain about a few things: - The front desk guy when we got there (5-30-09 at about noon) was kind of a jerk. He seemed put out by being asked if we could check in early. I understand if that's not possible. That is not the problem, but to be borderline rude about things is just not OK with me when I am spending $300+ on a room after taxes etc. - Maybe I am spoiled being from CA, but when I think of a breakfast being included, I don't think of microwave-yourself oatmeal, plastic bottles of OJ, and such exotic fruits as apples. - The room we stayed in had apparently been trashed by someone before who stole the iPod docking station and broke one of the lamps and the handle to the closet by the front door. I would recommend this place to people that are (for lack of a better term) "Old Money/Country Club" types and who are used to people that work the front desk who haven't seen their own feet in years because their nose is stuck so high in the air. Seriously, I have never been treated so badly by someone holding an entry level position in my life. If this isn't your cup of tea, do what I'm going to do next time I'm in Philly and stay a few blocks to the East in a hotel that is closer to Washington Sq park. I hear the neighborhood is slightly less snooty there. It could hardly get any worse.

My absolute favorite place to see a band in SF. It's gorgeous and if you can get a seat in the balcony, you're pretty much guaranteed a great view. They book great bands and they don't have crazy rules like the Fillmore, Bimbo's or the Warfield, i.e., "YOU CAN'T STAND HERE" or "YOU CAN'T SIT HERE" or "DON'T EXIT FROM HERE" or "TWO DRINK MINIMUM" which drive me nuts. They don't treat you like cattle...it's a bit more intimate of a venue and they employ polite and easy-going people. It's just a beautiful venue, filled with fuzzy memories and good times.
