After hitting balls at Chelsea Piers this Friday night we were looking for a place to grab dinner and few more drinks ... short walk up the West Side Highway and we were perfectly content. It was the perfect end of summer night, a bit chilly, but nothing a sweater couldn't handle. We settled in with our drinks and contemplated food. The burger was good, but I wasn't a fan of the bun and a little well done for my taste. However they don't give you an option on how you would like your burger done and I'm going to assume for good reason. The old bay garlic fries are absolutely delicious and you have to get them! I have to confess the four stars is for the establishment when it is not over crowded with D-bags hanging off the side with their shirts off (I'm not in college anymore and don't have patients for those guys). You will catch me here on a quiet end of summer evening, not the first beautiful day in May.

I've been here maybe 4 or 5 times, and every time, its been 5 stars. Would have never known about this place until a friend visiting from California (who lived here before) took us there. Man, what a find. Fiance and I went there last night around 8:30. Was able to grab two places at bar. Bartender was attentive throughout the evening. We both felt like we were given ample time to enjoy our cocktail before dinner arrived, enjoy dinner, and have a second cocktail without feeling rushed. I ordered the Chilean sea bass w/ herb risotto and spinach. My fiance ordered seitan meatloaf, which comes with mashed potatoes, green beans, and mushroom gravy (not real gravy). Delicious. The sea bass was crispy on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside. The risotto was done perfectly, and the spinach was wilted but still bright green. My fiance has ordered the meatloaf before and it remains her favorite, and she's not vegetarian or vegan. Overall, every time is great. I highly recommend this place.

OK - Pure is now the even more fabulous Voyeur. And the past two times I've been since the change have been glorious. Cute gay boys + three floors of dancing + your best friends = solid good times. Check out the renovations on the third floor - the beaded curtains, the cube chairs, and the photography on the walls, which I will leave to your imagination.....
