I typically stray away from the more "type A" dance clubs in the city because I can only take so much Kesha/Miley in one night, but I somehow ended up here twice in a month (friends visiting from out of town). I really enjoyed myself both times. Diverse crowd- and by that I mean, there were Asians and South Asians dancing here, but it's not an "Asian" club. As a young Korean girl who isn't bad looking, this place is the bomb because you never have to pay for drinks. For some reason, the boys here know how to approach you and offer to buy you drinks. Also, the boys aren't super skeevy and grind up all on you when you're dancing to the top40hits the DJ's playing. It's generally a nice time. The downstairs space is huge and really pretty. There's ample space to sit and shmooze. I've never eaten here so I can't rank the food though. I like the fireplace area though.

As far as San Francisco clubs go, this place is as good as it gets. That said, as much as I love SF --- the club scene is pretty generic. As far as Slide goes, I feel the promoters/owners have done a good job. There is still the unavoidable bridge and tunnel crowd, but otherwise for SF standards this is a good club. The list is strict, but it makes it much nicer and non-creepy inside. The place is small and a fun spot to go with a group of friends. Get a table and you are set. Note: as far as the reviews mad about not letting large groups of guys in - that is how all decent clubs are! Bring some girls with you and you will have a shot at any club.

this place is tres chic. located underneath davio's, it's an uber-modern lounge-y place. the decor is amazing. it's upscale shiny black white and red. lots of vip areas...including the 'mogul room' which apparently is a swipe card area that looks like a bank vault. hott. the music is good. i'd actually want to dance to it. the crowd...well...they try hard. people are well-dressed, and may even fit in a new york club...they're a little bit older, but it just kind of fits the scene. so here i am, checking out the guys. i find one that i find impossibly gorgeous, and a little hipster--which was v. exciting to see at a place like this. strike 1: he's only visiting from new york. strike 2: it's the first (and probably only) time he'll ever be in philly. strike 3: he and his friends are heading to bump. so yes, at some point, i'll have to go back to g lounge, and maybe hit on a straight guy. eta: so i came here on a weekend. oi. first of all, there's a line out the door. wtf? kids, this is not nyc. and the worst part, was when my friends and i got out of line to leave, the bouncer went to "see what he could do" and we were in the door within minutes. and then some nasty monkey-looking guy had his shirt entirely unbuttoned. who does that? no, thank you.
