Extremely nice bar in one of the nicest hotels in the city. Friendly bartenders and great drinks. This bar is supposed to be the birthplace of the Bloody Mary. My wife and I had 2 Bloody Mary's and a Cosmo and our bill was $60. Expensive by any standard. I'm glad I went, but I wouldn't go back. If you do go, be sure to get a free snack tray with pretzels, nuts, and wasabi peas. At least you'll have some tasty snacks while drinking your $20 drink. Service-4 stars, Bar ambiance-5 stars, Value-1 star.

Harlot is dark for sure. Walking in I couldn't remember much of anything besides a lot of black. Black walls, dim lights, black bar. It's a really nice venue though. I went here for a work event, so I don't know what it's like during regular party nights, but the whole place had sort of a sophisticated feel to it - I really felt underdressed in jeans and a t-shirt. My bad. I'll have to agree with some of the other reviews on here that the upstairs is the best area (and, big surprise, it's a little more well-lit up there!) and that you shouldn't go to Harlot alone since it's in some isolated back alley.

Some of the better pizza offered on Hollywood Blvd, very comparable to an average NYC slice. I also had an Italian sausage sandwich that was very solid. A tad bit pricey (slice + sandwich was $11), but the sandwich was a good size and I only finished half. The potato chips that came with the sammich were also fresh-cut and made there. Bonus points. 3 stars, as it's a good lunch spot if you're in the area, but not the type of place to go out of your way for.
