by Tosin S. on This is a pretty fun spot if you are savvy with Nightclub culture and know your way around ropes, hurdles, doormen and hosts., Otherwise, it may be an eyeopener. Definitely attracts a lot of good looking people. Yes, there's a few AARP members sporting their daily Viagra and paying off some hot Russian;s penchant for blue boxed jewelry, but hey, its NY. The doormen are pretty respectful. I've never really noticed a line. More like a swarm of eager beavers seeking Ben's attention. Stay polite, dress the part and look like you actually belong anywhere but a cattle ranch and your chances of getting in are somewhat increased. When you do get past the ropes, the music is great, the bar tenders are generous and i love that there's a smoking area in the back. Its definitely a good time if you love music, love alcohol and love engaging in them around visually pleasing people as opposed to touristy times square runners.
by Jacquie B. on Ajna Bar is beautiful! It was a great place to meet my out of town guests who really wanted to experience something to tell their friends at home about. Ok, so they won't be bragging about the food, but there's a lot to describe in the way of decor and ambiance. The entrance is amazing and portal-like (entering a world of big statues and cool lighting). Great bar area with lots of space and great couches. Excellent service and good overall experience but not great food.
