I stumbled upon this place a while ago while walking around the neighborhood looking for a nice dimly lit bar in the middle of summer. I was looking for a non-divey bar and Ella did the trick. It's not exactly an upscale bar but it's definitely fancier than a sports bar or pub. I liked the modern decor which is part of the reason I checked it out in the first place. They had a really good mixed drink menu. It's been a while since I actually visited this place so I can't recall what I ordered but I remember really enjoying my martinis. I've been meaning to return here but rarely hang out in that neighborhood so I haven't had the opportunity to do so. Maybe one day....

I really like hanging out here the other night. This is a must check out for anyone in the area. We had to get there extra early to make sure we got a table or else the night would of sucked. Its just a fun outside bar to chill in. Beer is way over priced $40 for 5 coronas. That is outrageous. Plus no one serves your table you have to go fight your way through a crowded bar to get your drinks. This then leaves your friends of the annoying task of telling the high number people that walk by and ask for the chair or better yet just try and take it. Overall good time. Just make sure you bring lots of cash if you want to get drunk.

this place is just not my cup of tea and people who know me, know that i drink a lot of tea. two stars for free booze that kept finding its way into my champagne glass. turns out, we'd accidentally crashed someone's party. such strange decor. one can never really go wrong with tons of marble and burl wood, but mr/ms interiors still did. le club has the overall effect of a high-school 'all-nighter' in that faux, dark, teenage nightclub sort of way. very home depot chic. not enough bathroom for the lady-folk with lipstick touch-up needs (i have needs). lack of music? no. we were treated to the soft sounds of waves crashing and winton marsalis whilst sitting at the bar. patrick bateman would feel right at home. not authentic in the slightest - perhaps that's the issue. doesn't have any one interesting or sweet quality. now, perhaps little miss old pants was there on an off night - that could well be the case and i'm loathe to make a hasty decision that this place is pants based solely on last night. packing list for trip no.2? 1. ipod 2. traveling make-up station, port-a-loo 3. groucho marx disguise i'll see you at the bar.
