For the record, I went knowing it was a tourist trap, but it was still worth it for the Whiz, baby. I'd say that Geno's is a stop worth making if you're from out of town and looking for your first cheese steak. The reality is, you're probably going to kick around the Italian market as it is and if you don't like Geno's, you can walk across the street to Pat's, and if you don't like either, well, you've probably fallen off your bike and smacked your melon. Go, load it up with onions and whiz and enjoy all four seconds of hoovering.

Learned of this place from a co-worker after complaining of an awful month-long sushi craving without finding anywhere that seemed like it was going to be worth it. I checked out the menu online first and the prices seemed about right, so I made reservations. As normal with me, showed a little early for our reservation but luckily they didn't mind and we didn't have to wait at all. I have to admit, I was a little surprised walking in. I wasn't expecting the "retro"ish feel and look (though looking back I should have expected it from the website) and I really don't think my date was either. We kinda giggled about it walking to our table, but we got sat at one of the cute "built in" tables on the side of the restaurant and liked it. I loved our waitress, she was really sweet and nice. I also liked the outfits all the staff wore, they were cute and not uniform-y and went along with the funk of the decor. I started with the miso soup (excellent!!!) and my date got edamame (cooked perfectly!!!) and we ordered the sushi small plate and a veggi plate to split. It was more than enough for the both of us. The fish was fresh and I loved their soy sauce, but all in all they didn't have anything too special or anything new that I'd never tried/seen before on their sushi menu. Sooo, all in all they get three stars because while it WAS an enjoyable meal, it wasn't anything that outstanding or memorable. Everything was "decent" and I guess that just translates to three stars for me.
