by Celly A. on Tuesday night @ Sloane..... Less of a crowd.. more room to party. Only 1 bartender?? oh man. It took forever to order drinks. Maybe if I had a hot awesome dress on with big boobs, I can get better service? Saturday night @ Sloane... Holy mother trucker. Super crowded. Some guy pushed me just bc I was tryiing to get thru to the other side. And wheres the bathroom line?? Shoot I was so confused, I walked around and swooped on the first available open bathroom. On top of that, witnessing a young breezy throwing up in the garbage can. NICE TOUCH! What gives this 3 stars is the back part. Theres more room, and even a bar. I still enjoyed my night with my friends. I hope to see the place extend.
by Jackie G. on I came here to celebrate my 21st birthday last night. I guess I'm not that great of a judge of venues/ clubs because of my age... but I felt this place was ok. It's super dark and has a very small dance floor. I felt like some of the people there like to stare at you, but maybe that's what happens in bars? I tried their sweet tea and long island iced tea ($9). Both were good. The music was pretty good too. The sound system is waaayy loud. So be prepared to yell at your friends. There is also two bathrooms. A womens and a co-ed equipped with stall and urinal. The line does go by pretty fast. Thank God.
by Garnett Schillings on We had our best night (er, morning?) of WMC this year at Gem. Great bartenders (though how I racked up a $197 bar bill when we were drinking mostly Bud Light I can't quite be sure), great sound, two rooms of the best DJs we know, and an awesome crowd. I know it depends who is spinning and how parties are promoted, but all the stars were in alignment Saturday night of WMC. I hope Gem doesn't change a thing!
