A few friends and I came here last Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. We showed up around 11pm, and there was no wait to get in. Cover was reasonable at $5 and drink prices were average. I also liked that there was ample parking (paid, but very close) right across the street. The crowd def thickened within the next half hour or so and it was a good mix of folks, not too shady. I loved that this club was actually a bunch os smaller rooms - each with a diff DJ playing different types of music. There are also some rooms that are more bar-like with tables instead of a dance floor so when you want a break from dancing you can find a seat and take a minute instead of at some other clubs where you just awkwardly lean on something in a corner and hope you don't sit on anything sticky. All in all, my friends and I had a blast, and I'd def come back here again!

After scoring a coupon over rateclubs for this place, we ventured down to Broadway with the objective to spend $20 for the coupon to be valid. That ended up not being a problem, as we spent close to $30. As for the food, its amazing. Some of the best tacos and chips one can get... well anywhere. The problem is that the food is mostly the same, although not quite as good, as Underdogs (another place run by the same owner). Having frequented Underdogs often, we couldn't help but compare the two during our meal there and, frankly speaking, Underdogs came up ahead. Waiter service and chips that keep getting refilled, rather than having to pay $1.25 over and over again... not to mention slightly better salsa found at Underdogs. All in all, Nick's is great, no doubt about it. Its real drawback though is that there is a better option available. So while we love the food, we aren't likely to come back and will probably stick with Underdogs (unless we get another awesome coupon).

This place has a charm that just doesn't get old. I've been here many times. Some of these times, I'm the only one there, but many times there are transient folks, all walks of life, from just about anywhere mixed in with regulars and overflow from the nightclub/party venue next door that makes for a interesting mix of people which I enjoy. You can come here by yourself and have a few beers and watch TV without feeling uncomfortable. The bartenders are really great friendly people, and the owners are the same. I'd like to see the plumbing fixed, and the couch/carpet cleaned as others have mentioned. There are a few regulars that I tend to avoid, but some of them are great folks. I would say that this bar can get edgy more than you might expect so you have to pay attention to who you talk to sometimes, but overall I think it is a great place to grab a drink and shoot pool.
