wow..my friend has already written a review for this place. So quick! (See Hannah W's review) Anyway, I agree with 90% of what Hannah said. My girlfriends and I came here after dinner at Roy's. And yes, it was "seriously dead" and remained like that for a while. In fact, even at midnight-ish, the lounge was not that packed. I wasn't digging the music at all because it was more the type of music my dad listened to. The interior design was really nice with burlesque/flapper women drawings on the walls. And at one corner, there was a screen that showed clips of old Hollywood films. I liked the color scheme a lot, which was mainly purple and black and reminded me of Anna Sui. eeerr...I will not be coming back here because the place is a bit too small for me (my garage is even bigger) and it's not the type of crowd I'd like to hang out with. The bathroom was decent and there was coat-check-service. Drinks were not strong...hahaha. Tasted more like water after a while... Oh, and there's a friendly waitress who walks around to check if anyone needs drinks. *sigh* going back to my search for a fun lounge/club place.

On occasion, I used to end up here because there was nowhere else to go after-hours. It was fun when I was sloppy drunk. Something about this place made me feel baaaad - in a good way. But then the last 3 or 4 times I went (a while ago), these shady dudes kept offering me drugs left and right, which kind of freaked me out. I guess that's why I stopped going. From a sober perspective, the bouncers are mean and corrupt. They want cash bribes, and the cover is $20. Eesh! What do they think this is, New York? I can't say anything about the music or its dance-ability because I don't ever recall dancing there or what the music was like because I was so sloshed. (Hey, it IS a late-night spot!) Some people complain about the layout, but that's what I liked about this place. It's 3 stories with a big staircase and different platforms. I remember liking to run up-and-down the stairs...

This place has the best Ethiopian food in the city! The dishes are huge and the owners/staff are good people. They are always changing the artwork inside and I must say, they have great taste. This is also a good place if you want a drink or want to play some pool. They also happen to have one of the best jukeboxes in town. No Clay Aiken here.
