by Lindsey Capracotta on OK I'll give it to Dante's - this place is...unique. I came here with a few friends on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday with dinner. After parking we followed the signs past some croc graves to the restaurant. Walking in, BAM there is a pirate ship with a moat and live crocs. OK. So we sit down and there is live jazz playing. There are about a billion and a half nooks and crannies everywhere with tables of various sizes (I can see how this would totally be a great date location). The drinks: lots of mixed drink selections, various wines and an abundant dessert mixed drink section but a very blah beer selection. The food: the beef stu was awesome - hearty, filling, tender meats and a good flavor. The fondue was fun but did get a bit monotonous, even with us sharing a few different proteins. It might just be that I'm not that into fondue *gasp*. All in all it was a fun experience, but I'm not sure I'd come back for the food.

I haven't encountered one nice security guy there since I started going there last May. chased my friends all the way to their cars because they were "standing in front of the venue" I used to enjoy this venue, but the security has gotten way out of hand and I don't think I'll be going to parties anymore here. Told me they were over capacity when hundreds of people were leaving at the same time I as waiting at the door. They intentionally sent my friends to another party and upon arrival they found out it was an all male party. they go out of their way to ruin the fun. Yup it's their job, but you don't have to be an asshole about it.
by Erich Depace on My date and I arrived early on a Thursday evening to an empty house and were promptly seated in I'm guessing the bow of the boat. The music, decor, and service were wonderful - the food not so much. It was just OK, nothing to write home about but not terrible; my main issue being the ratio of portion size to the price. All in all if you're looking for an interesting place to bring a date then this is the place for you but the next time I'm in the mood for fondue I'll being sticking to The Melting Pot.
