by Irene F. on Came here last night for the Red Stripe Reggae Party....and ended up drinking free red stripes and hanging out with Steel Pulse. Hawt. The venue is neat, clearly was not the typical thing going on...but I think I will be back some time soon to check out these famous mojitos! And the Brazilian music, woohoo!
by Eddie H. on I'll give this a 3, but really the rating really depends on when you go here. I came here twice in one day on a Friday - once after work and then later on that night around midnight. This place was like night and day. Of course half the tables here are occupied by old men and young women (sad, sad, sad). But around 8-9, this place is a solid place to come and hang out with friends before heading elsewhere for the night. As soon as we walked in, there were plenty of attractive women at this place. Most left as soon as the back area was opened which signaled the coming of the collared striped shirt guys. It's kind of like the calm before the storm - take that as your hint to leave then and there before getting trampled. I came back here later that night only to see a line of about 30-40 people waiting to get in (all guys). We managed to bypass the line as always (aside from banks, post offices, grocery stores, etc, I don't do lines). This place was a zoo when we came back (especially the downstairs). There was some room in the back room which was nice if you want to actually have a nice conversation as the music is not as loud as downstairs. I'd say once the bottom is opened up and the lines start forming outside, I'd have to give this place a 2.
