This is one of my favorite places downtown. You take the tiny doorway to a set of stairs and happen upon an amazingly tacky open place. It's magical! Bartenders are amazing and super friendly. When they call me sweetheart, it's not creepy! Plus, the drinks they pour are always fantastic and cheap! It was one of the few places my boyfriend went to on his first trip here. He loves it, too. It's just so gosh-darned charming/wacky! We were there last night and had the same thing we had almost a year ago: brisket nachos. "It tastes just like I remember it." Aww. Hahaha.

The rating here (3.5 stars) is right on the money...this place was not bad, but not great. Music was FANTASTIC on Friday Night. I love the fact that they have 2 bars and $10 cover..pretty sweet deal. It was an all around good time, but it was STIFLING. Like..you cannot breathe in there and it hits you like a wall of sweat. Nasty. There are also AC vents or pipes of some sort that just drip on you while you're dancing. Seems like there is no escaping the pipes because everywhere we moved to on the dance floor we got dripped on. Grossss. By the end of the night, the whole floor was covered in water and not all of it was spilled drinks.

This place is really a hit or miss. It depends on who is running the night, and what type of crowd they bring in. I have been here and I have had a great time, and I have been here and wasted a night out. The club itself is nice and they have enough space and rooms to fill it well without feeling like you are packed in a cage. The negative is that it is expensive for what is offered (minus a star). $20 to get in and $12+ a drink should add up to a much better club experience.
