OK I'll give it to Dante's - this place is...unique. I came here with a few friends on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday with dinner. After parking we followed the signs past some croc graves to the restaurant. Walking in, BAM there is a pirate ship with a moat and live crocs. OK. So we sit down and there is live jazz playing. There are about a billion and a half nooks and crannies everywhere with tables of various sizes (I can see how this would totally be a great date location). The drinks: lots of mixed drink selections, various wines and an abundant dessert mixed drink section but a very blah beer selection. The food: the beef stu was awesome - hearty, filling, tender meats and a good flavor. The fondue was fun but did get a bit monotonous, even with us sharing a few different proteins. It might just be that I'm not that into fondue *gasp*. All in all it was a fun experience, but I'm not sure I'd come back for the food.

The place is not the place to go if you want authentic Japanese food. More of a place to relax, drink and hang out with friends and of course, listen to some songs than eat Japanese food. The more "American style" dishes were pretty good. The sushi were really disappointing since they just doesn't have authentic Japanese taste. The pricing is a bit too expensive for the quality of the food. The waitress that served my friend and I was not really good. She wasn't even aware we didn't get half of the dishes we ordered.

I love the new micky's. Though it hasn't changed much. Still the same dance music, and full of beautiful older men. Gogo dancers that show way too much. Drinks that aren't strong and too expensive. Also always a cover. ...and a snooty door staff The few things I like are the friends you always run into, how clean it is in their bathrooms, and the size of the dance floor compared to how it was back in the day. I hope they have better nights here, because I would like to love it again...
