What an absolutely delightful, savory experience! I had semi-blindly chosen this location based upon fellow rateclubs reviewers wanting to utilize the Dine About Town going on this June. I had let them know via Open Table that it was a celebration for my friend's birthday, and set my reservation. I received a call letting me know that they already had a private party the night I requested, and wanted to reschedule. No problemo, I'm flexible. Side note: they gave us a bottle of champagne on the house to make up for it/plus it was my friend's birthday. The layout is so peaceful and low lighting (but not in that romantic way, there was a work party going on and they didn't seemed bothered). It definitely utilizes the space well, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I have dined at a lot of crammed restaurants that you feel the person(s) at the surrounding table(s) is right on top of you and you are apart of their conversations. Not so at Prana. There was a party of ten, two parties of 6, and numerous small parties, but it wasn't loud and still maintained its relaxing vibe. Obviously, this is due to the fact that at night it is a club, but you'd never know that otherwise. They give you a yummy basket of fried wonton and pita bread with three different sauces to begin. What we had with my short opinions follow... 1. Yam fritters, spicy peanut sauce, cucumber salad - Wow, this was just a starter but they gave us about 7-8 good sized fritters. You could have made a meal just off of those. They were a bit rich, but still good. 2. Dosa quesadilla, chipotle cheddar, spiced potatoes, tomato chutney - They were quesadillas...I mean you can't really mess those up. 3. Hearts of romaine, sesame-lime dressing, garlic crostini, shaved pecorino - It was good, BUT they serve the leaves uncut on a small plate. So, trying to cut those crisp leaves with a butter knife was a little messy. 4. Coconut corn bisque, fresh curry leaves, corn & spicy cheddar wontons - Absolutely delicious! I actually bought the ingredients for this dish last night and attempted to remake it. Such a "basic" dish, but so delectable on the tongue. 5. Saag Paneer Ravioli, Indian cheese & vegetable filling, Bloomsdale spinach sauce - Unfortunately, this dish was nothing to really write home about. My friend said it tasted like the quesadillas which WERE good. I won't order these again when I go back. 6. Seafood Tom Yum Talay, assorted fish, mussels, scallops & prawns, coconut broth - This was my favorite dish of the night. I was a little leery of the coconut broth in the description, as I am not really a fan of coconut. When it arrived and the aroma tickled my nose I knew there was no need to fear. Both my friend and I decided we would definitely be back, and would have no problem bringing or recommending friends and family as well.

Five years ago, I met my husband at the DNA lounge. (Remedy, as we remember.) We haven't been back since, but hey, I'll give them five stars for finding me a good man.
