by Sarah E. on I thought I had reviewed this place already, but apparently not. The beer selection at Taco Mac is PHENOMENAL. I'm assuming that people pretty much already know that by now, though, since they are almost as ubiquitous here as Waffle Houses. The food is also not bad. I have had chicken wings and nachos at Taco Mac on several occasions, and they are always nom-worthy. I don't remember if I've ever actually had a Taco (or a Mac?) here. Other than that, all I can say about Taco Mac is that sometime the atmosphere here (not just at this location, but at any that I've visited) can be a little on the douchey side. I attribute that to the large beer selection and number of TV screens. But for some reason, I still sort of love this place.
by Laura S. on My favorite bar/ lounge in the city. Music is always good, and it's like Cheers... someone will always know your name. The crowd is always a good mix, so whether you're slightly over or under dressed, you'll still be comfortable. Did I mention that the music is always good?
by Tyree Schmeling on I've been here twice in the last few weeks and gotta say, love the touch of class on top of Nob Hill. My buddy Cassidy works the bar at this establishment, so we decided to check it out. They were gracious enough, both times, to let us enter in our torn and tattered daily wear, someday I gotta spiff it up for the scene! The interior is quite lovely, and while I haven't eaten here I plan on returning in the next week or so to sample the fun food and enjoy the beautiful dining room! Last night was out of control with the Black and White ball taking over the club, Bentley's out front and a higher class scene than I'm used to over in my normal zone, think Lower Haight and Mission, but we had a blast and were provided immediate and impeccable service by the bartenders and staff. Seriously, they got us two bottles of champagne and 6 glasses in under 10 minutes... Great ambiance and the back room has got a pool table which is great to play at the end of the evening. Bathrooms always available. This place is my new hang...
