by Anubis K. on Well what is there really to say about this other than the fact that the lines were ridiculously long, there were also quite a few questionable people waiting to get in as well, a friend was having his birthday party there last night, Strata claims on their website that there is an abundance of street parking but thats a huge lie and I wasn't really willing to pay $13.52+ per half hour just for a park so I drove around a little finally got a park after about an hour or so(never again will I ever drive into the city) so got there stood in line now as some of you had mentioned before I don't normally like to wait in long lines but decided to make an exception, anyway wasn't paying attention to the time so .I pretty much stood there until they closed, my friends came out some guys either Crimps or Bloods whatever the heck they call themselves tried to attack them the police and bouncers got involved then they tried to detain me when I wasn't even aware of what had just took place but you know this time I can't really say anything bad about the cops since all they had really saw was me greeting my friends and having a laugh so in this case they were just doing jobs I suppose but I normally don't like the way most of them (98%) conduct themselves anyway so because of all that happened only 1 star is given I may decide to give an update in the future ciao for now!
by Kimberly S. on The only reason I shoot pool here is the convenience of it being downtown and all my friends can take Muni to get here and shoot some pool. The person forgot to give us chalk when he handed us the balls. The food is over priced, so much that I didn't bother to try. Mainly pool sharks come here to sharpen their game. Sometimes I see trick shooters trying out stuff. Mainly middle age white men who just have a break from working downtown in suits. The last time I came here was just a few days ago and it was a sunny day. Sun was BEAMING into the pool room and baking all of us alive in there. They opened all the doors and had no real curtains we could pull, but I believe they'd have to have some sort of shading but they didn't use it. So go at night if you want to.
by Sherman Luffy on maybe you were malled by a hipster when you were just a little baybee and that's why you have such a negative connotation of hipsters. But my mom told me to never judge a book by its cover....no matter how tight its....book cover is. i go to beauty bar because it's a good place to get drunk and dance, without the awkwardness of being the only one or doing it alone in your apartment. i mean, not that i did that or anything....er..what? good music, nice people, sometimes too crowded (which can hinder the dance moves. or worse, turn your seemingly harmless arm flailing groove into someone else's potential slap in the face- hey, it happens! ), cool bands, pretty sparkly walls, and average priced drinks. see you there ; ) oh yeah and creekside is right across the street....another thumbs up.
