Loca Luna was my first time at a Latin Club and I have to say, Latin clubs are so much more fun than any of the other night clubs I have been to. The place was packed! The dance floor is small but there's plenty of spaces for eating, including a patio. There was live music when we came on a Saturday evening. I think they have dance lessons on Wednesdays. Being a Latin Club, there was a shiteload of Hispanic ppl, but this place has a good mix of ppl in my opinion. I went to La Rumba 2 a week later with some friends, and that place was totally dominated by Hispanic ppl. If you haven t been to a Latin club, I recommend it. It's not booty dancing like Primal or Opera. Also, Hispanic fellas are not shy about asking you to dance w them. In the words of my friend, Chie, the place was "hot as hell", literally.

The restaurant is still open but the dance/nightclub part is closed down. Anybody know of another cool spot like this with dining and a dance club?

The food here certainly isn't authentic, healthy, or all that tasty. But it is damn cheap and the location can't be beat. Plus it stays open late. Recent renovations made it less like an opium den, but the spicy chicken wings also cost 50 cents more as a result. In college I used to order the same dinner combo once a week because I couldn't make dining hall hours due to lab/section. I moved back to Cambrige last year after living in NY for 6 years. The guy with the pony tail still remember me and my order. Pretty cool on his part and pretty pathetic on mine.
