by David B. on This guy, Richard Blais, has to be a genius. What else do you call people that take an old building (like a former 7-eleven) and turn it into a really trendy place. You know how you wish you hadn't been to a place because it is so good you want to go back AGAIN AND AGAIN??? That's how I feel about this place, which was supposed to be a special treat $20 burger place, now I want to go all the time. The nutella chocolate burnt marshmallow milkshakes are to die for and I don't even really like marshmallows, and yet, I ate every one of them! The burgers, I can eat the whole thing without feeling sick and yet, despite the fact it is not overly large, I was definitely full. The only thing, I think they could impove on are the fries, and YET, again, I ate everyone. I just enjoy the basic hamburger here, but they do have lots of specialized hamburgers, if you like that. The dress to my surprise, is casual. They also have outdoor dining.
by Chi-hee K. on I went for restaurant week with two others and if we had one or two more friends with us, we could have ordered everything on the menu! The starter is complimentary (various condiments/veggies/sauces) as well as the baked iraqi bread/hummus. Each of us chose 2 small plates, 1 larger plate, and 1 dessert. Be sure to share everything with everyone at your table so you get a chance to try as much as possible. The meal highlights for me: fried cauliflower, moroccan fish stew, fried haloumi (cheese). I also tried the lamb pastry, swordfish (yum), steak, and beet salad. Everything was amazing. The desserts were a perfect end to this meal - there were three on the menu so we ordered one of each. To top it off, the Malbec (Argentine) by the glass was probably one of the best I've ever had. I need to call them to find out what year/winery it came from! It was just perfect with the meal - highly recommended. Finally, the service was great - just perfect. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the origin/history of each dish, the way it was cooked, and every ingredient used. He came by at the right times, was funny, and very quick. I was really impressed.
by Gerard Dominic on They have some of the best seating and atmosphere at rittenhouse square. I think their pizza is good (not as good as Lombardi) and the frozen fruit filled w/sorbet.
