by Shaye S. on Was in town on business and it seemed to be a slower night from what I hear and read but all in all it was a good experience. I ended up going with a couple of friends who happened to know the chef so we were treated pretty damn well. The drinks were just right, the fried fish (I think it was a special from the chef) was TASTEY! Definitely will be back again.
by Katie N. on I have simple tastes when it comes to sushi so I will leave the detailed menu analysis to the other reviewers, but half the reason for me at least to come to Pod was for the experience as much as the food, and in the end neither knocked my socks off. The decor is cool....kind of like a futuristic airline terminal. But the ladies restrooms (which are modeled after airplane bathrooms by the way) left much to be desired in the cleanliness department the night I was there. (Got that Pod? For the amount we're paying, we shouldn't feel like we're in a REAL airplane) Pluses: Super friendly service (our waiter got a fat tip), deliciously addictive jewel-toned cocktails (I recommend the green one), and the fluffernutter spring rolls were delightful. I'm glad to have tried Pod, but I'm not necessarily in a rush to get back. Another one to check off the list!
by Warren Sanlucas on Incredibly decorated venue. And that's where Harlot's charm ends. There was no line out front. But the bouncers asked if we had "a table." And then told us to wait. After about 10 minutes and over 2 dozen people had walked out of the club, they decided that we had done our penance. Inside, the music was worse than awful. Embarrassing even for a frat party. The drinks were mediocre. A cosmo isn't that hard, people. If you like douchebags, bridge-and-tunnel bouncers who think they're hot, and music that will take you back to that Sigma Nu party you hardly remember in college, please go to Harlot. They want you there.
