by Bruno Samanlego on Putting together the inaugural holiday girl's day out, I made reservations at Lime for Sunday brunch after champagne mani/pedis. Always having heard of how fun Lime was, but never actually going and experiencing it for myself, I didn't quite know what I was getting myself into...but OH BOY, will I be back again, again, and again.! Worrying about catching the late end of brunch (reservations were at 3pm) we showed up and found the party still in FULL swing. Walking in and passing a couple that looked like they were fully decked out in last night's clothes (super short mini dress and 5 inch heels) we had about a 10min wait while our table was being set. It took about another 10 minutes just to maneuver past everyone at the bar to get to our table. THE PLACE WAS PACKED! Right away, our waitress came up to our table, plopped down glasses and began pouring mimosas, (I guess its a no brainer why people go to Lime on Sundays....haha) The food was good, the staff VERY friendly, the atmosphere AWESOME! dancing on the leather seats to club/dance music while there is still daylight out is the ONLY way one should lead their life on a Sunday afternoon. Never have I ever experienced such a fun, fist pumping Sunday brunch (except for maybe in Vegas when the winnings were high) Oh LIME, you soared beyond all my expectations, THANK YOU for making the inaugural holiday girls outing a success!
by Clark Labonte on Um.. where's the wood? Why get all sexed up just to be around a bunch of bacon and tomato baby bimbos? If I wanted to score chicks, I'd go to Cubby Hole in my ripped sweats, dirty sneakers and softball jersey to cozy up next to Rosie O'Donnel's Look-alikes. Barf!
by jay h. on If it hadn't been for Rateclub I would have probably never gone to The Bubble Lounge. The venue is gorgeous and the location is great. Right smack on the edge of the FiDi. But they have a friendliness factor that is lost on some of the staff. The bartenders were cool and chill but the hostess had some rough edges. The hostess regulated on Mick F's clothes which was ridiculous since it was a Rateclub Only Event. And honestely...you can't regulate on the bomb diggety Mick F!!! With drinks that expensive you can afford to be a little more relaxed and friendly. Probably won't come back even though I do work right around the corner.
