First time here, dining for a friend's birthday.  We had reservations for 8 at 9:45pm on a Saturday night.   They were good with us being a little late (maybe 30 minutes) and also seating extra people that arrived later on... That's about the best part of the experience. First off, the menu was pretty tiny.  Second, dinner was served at around 11:30pm or so, so that kinda sucked... Towards the end, there were A LOT of empty tables, so I'm not really sure why the slow service.   All of us had received our food, except one girl, who had ordered SUSHI! Her plate came out last for some reason. We alll ate our food in probably 30 minutes or less b/c of the wait... no fun, b/c we had planned on hitting up a bunch other places after dinner. Pricing... drinks were good but pricey... and I would say the same for the appetizer pricing.   Entree prices are what you would expect at a place like this.   I suppose the size of the place and the decor contribute to the pricing of the drink and foood.  Beautiful HIGH ceilings and large space.  I would probably say that there was nice decor, but I'm Asian and it's been done. Music during dinner was appropriate for the setting, lots of international music, but very random, from Greek to techno beats, etc. Because our dinner ended so late, instead of heading over to other venues, we decided to go over to the bar area... Thought the music might get better but I was disappointed.   Perhaps this is just not my scene. The crowd:  lots of international/foreigners - east europeans and hispanics (makes sense b/c of the music and ambience) and I would say "older" men in their 50s hitting on girls in their 20's AND "older" women hitting on younger men.  If that's YOUR scene, this is the spot for you... For me, a little creepy... But my friends were having a goood time and I'm not one to stop a good time ;) Conclusion: I would not return again. You might find me at another venue in the same district though... Spice Market looked goood to me ;)

I love this place for being so classic San Francisco.  Divey, fun, great ambiance, and they have food.  Don't expect gourmet cuisine here, but it's nice and cheap.  The music is usually a hoot: not the typical band banging out their 25 songs, but more campy and showy.

I won't go back, but I'm glad i tried it. It was all the bad 80s music (ok, so what 80s music is good? Certainly not Katrina and the waves). It was just bad music, bad space and bad drinks all around, oh and bad karma. I wont be there again fo sho :-(
