Went back for the first time since my undergrad days.  Just had drinks for happy hour.  Good for the memories, nothing else.  I remember the food being all style and no substance, at least you can't really mess up alcohol.

They play good music. The crowd is good. It's fun - but nothing spectacular.

The National Restaurant is an extention of the International Food Deli, the oldest international deli on Brighton Beach. The two establishments are located right across the street from each other. The restaurant takes up two floors, and like many Russian restaurants in the area, doubles as a night club. The floor show is beautiful, though the music sometimes gets a little on the loud side. The menu is full of Russian staples and some unique dishes, and the food is always fresh.
