by Corliss Kelch on I rarely make it out to SF, but I feel compelled to rateclubs about my first Infusion experience that was about a week ago. After leaving a rather boring Vessel scene, a new friend enthusiastically pulled me straight past the handsome Infusion bouncers, anticipation building as I walked down the stairs. At the bottom of the steps, a sea of sexy partygoers pulsed amidst the high-energy (yet sensual) decor, which then parted while my friend led me straight into the raised VIP section parallel to the bar. First, I am extremely partial to anything red and black, so this place was perfect for me. It looked like the kind of hell you would WANT to be in...Think sins ;P My best moment that night was meeting the VIP and Promotions Manager. What a complete sweetheart! I was only at the club for one short hour, but Mariam made the whole experience completely worth it with her pleasant demeanor =) I enjoyed the experience so much, that I promised her I would come back this past weekend (which I did, of course) and spend more time in the club to check out the dancing and such a bit more. I have to say, the DJ this past weekend was damn good in the dance room. Normal crowd issues on dance floors didn't bother me much while a girl friend and I danced until we truly needed a break (which was right around the time Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA" started playing, whew...LoL) All in all...Even as a veteran to the club-scene, I'm thinking about becoming a regular at this hotspot =)
by J S. on Note: I've only been on Saturday nights, so I can only speak for that day Do you love techno/electra? Do you love to dance dance dance? If yes to both, this is your place. Music: ALWAYS GREAT. Always LIVE DJ spinning on an elevated stage and a dancer on each side. Lights are decent. Lots of drugs around on some nights, be prepared for people with sunglasses walking around the dark hall. Floor: Its a huge floor with hundreds of people crowded. Yes, crowd. Bar: is okay, they are nice about giving me water all night (free) but if you want a drink its fairly quick (hmm, a few min wait with no pushing to place order on busy night, most nights you can just order right away). There's a small upstairs mostly for smokers when its open, its okay, bar is always quick there. Prices are okay. Entrance: $20-$35 to get in if you're not on a guest list. But consider that its open until 6 am. You'll pay at least $10-$25 to get in places that close 4 hours earlier and not so great music or floor. So: Go with a good group of friends (or just one) and you'll have the best night of dancing.
by Sol Brookshaw on The National Restaurant is an extention of the International Food Deli, the oldest international deli on Brighton Beach. The two establishments are located right across the street from each other. The restaurant takes up two floors, and like many Russian restaurants in the area, doubles as a night club. The floor show is beautiful, though the music sometimes gets a little on the loud side. The menu is full of Russian staples and some unique dishes, and the food is always fresh.
