by Chris F. on Tongue&Groove is a breath of fresh air. Can you imagine being under the same roof with so many different cultures and everyone getting along?! Salsa is a weakness and I'm only 3 min walking distance so I'm in heaven, it beats all those other night clubs. After experiencing this establishment I don't care to much for the Urban spots, the drinks are pretty pricey; but they are worth it! Wednesday nights is seriously the deal.
by Bryan W. on Entered the bar at 6pm and had a chance to speak with the owner/bartender while enjoying a Blue Oscar Old Chub. Nice set-up and hope good things happen here. Good taps (4, I think) serving up craft beers, supplemented with additional craft beers in bottle and cans. Often carries Eagle Rock brews. Definitely a plus to the neighborhood. Apparently gets a lot of traffic for Roller Derby matches down the street.
by Carylon Ernesto on I actually had a lot of fun here last night! My friends and I drove down to Hollywood and walked around scoping out the crowd and lines at the clubs in the area. We arrived to Mood around 11:00PM and strolled to the front of the line. Since we were a party of 5 girls, we got in right away and without any cover. The dance floor was empty so we started drinking (the drinks are expensive!!! minus one star) and then started dancing. There is a bar in the back and I guess this area is ventilated because people were smoking there. There was NEVER a line for the girl's bathroom. The dance floor started getting crowded but there was still a lot of room to dance. The DJ played a good mix of music. We found some really nice guys who bought us drinks the whole night. It was a fun night. I'm sure it's not as glitzy as the other clubs and the crowd was definitely asian-centric but we had a blast. Oh, and ghetto-dogs right around the corner!!!
