Oh. No. What. HAPPENED??? I used to come here years ago, before all the celebrity hype. The service was impeccable, and the food was even better. After moving back to Atlanta, I craved it, but reservations at normal dinner times were hard to get with just a few days notice...until last night. What a disappointment it was. Service was not good at all. Our server spent little time or effort explaining the menu, and when we asked about the hushpuppies that we were looking forward to, she just said, they took it off the menu yesterday, but they were really really good. Hmm. Thanks for the consolation. Even with a half full restaurant, we had to wait a very long time between courses, but they were not worth the wait. Mussels: way under-cooked (almost raw), potatoes were undercooked, and sauce was bland. Mushroom risotto: rice was very over cooked. Almost soggy soft. Duck: served medium rare, but meat was somehow tough! The crust on the duck breast was so overly salted, I could barely eat it. Braised carrots were unevenly cooked; some hard, others too soft. The broccoli was almost non-existent (four measly tiny florets; about a fifth of the size of a normal floret) and was so overcooked & salty!!!!! Yuck. Pork loin: four people got this dish and no one liked it. Same issue where it was served slightly pink, but the meat so tough, they were literally sawing at the pieces with a steak knife. I am sad to write this kind of review, but it's true... John Kessler recently wrote an article asking Atlanta chefs to up their game. I can't help but wonder if Woodfire was one of the chefs he was directing the article to... It certainly felt & tasted like it. $550 lighter, but not satisfied. It was a sore disappointment indeed.

I have only been there on thursday nights for "tiger heat" but I love it! I think its one of my favorite places to go for some thursday night partying and here is why! 1) the cover is only $10, granted on thursday nights its a gay club but its still one of the cheapest clubs you can get into and still have tons of fun. 2) attire is casual dressy, meaning if you are in a time crunch and don't have a whole lot of time to get dressed up, just throw on any casual cute shirt and a skirt and your done. 3) the music is awesome! they always play the latest and hippest dance music so you know it wont disappoint on thursday nights they also have go go dancers and drag queen announcers that usually give away free stuff. they try to have themes so for katy perry night last thurs, i won a poster and a cd because I squeezed by way to the front. the drinks are expensive but thats the case in every club you go to so I don't think its a big issue. also, thursday nights are 18+ but it isn't at all tacky and theres actually a lot of 21+ that show up, much more than 18 year olds.

small and crowded. the drinks prices are higher than it should be for this club (i notice a lot of drinks are raising in price though). i guess that night i went their playlist was short. i heard songs that been played twice. i wouldn't recommend anyone to go here.
