by Michael C. on Did the brunch buffet + all you can drink. The drinks were good, though predictably not very strong. The buffet didn't knock my socks off, but didn't repulse me either. A fun group lunch place, reasonably priced and can get everyone buzzed (the waitress did not hold back when we asked for more booze pitchers). Mamajuana Cafe is a welcome restaurant in The Heights.

Sitting outside on the deck of a boat, drinking coronas pulled straight out of an ice-filled bucket, watching drunk people try to navigate steep stairways and ladders (and sometimes falling on their asses). Perfect. Brad's ratings (out of 5): Price = 3; Drinks = 3; Decor = 4; Service = 4 Wild card: A stunning view of my home land, New Jersey.
by Terrell Dimick on Another famed Mission hipster dive. What sets El Rio apart is their massive back patio. It's so rare to get good outdoor bar seating in this city so El Rio fits the bill for cheap drinks and fresh air. Super-added cred for the fact I saw Ben Fong-Torres singing karoake here once. If you know who Ben Fong-Torres is, you'd be very impressed that he chose to grace this place with his presence.
