by Michelle M. on Interesting place. I heard it was hard to get into, but I walked right in and up to VIP. Heath Ledger was there, so you definitely have the opportunity to run into celebs. I didn't like the music, but the show was interesting. I heard it was tame the night I was there, but that they can get PRETTY crazy.
by Joline Edwards on O.K. folks, I don't want to burst any bubbles here but even though the Phoenix has a big rep. for being a party spot this broad generalization is slightly off the mark. They do cater to musicians and people out to have a good time, however, they also value the business of the families on vacation and business people that come through here actually looking to sleep. Its a delicate balance. So here's some things to consider before your visit: 1. Jumping in the pool naked and on mushrooms at 4am is not original. No one here wants to see your little peck peck. 2. This isn't a place to rent a room and invite 10 of your friends over after the club or show to hang out all night. Keep it intimate, 4-6 peeps to a room if staying late. I've been waiting for the Phoenix to come full circle and become the best spot for summertime pool parties again but every attempt in recent years has been haphazard. I have faith that it will come around again.
