I'll admit, I had really high expectations for this place based off the photos I saw. When will I ever learn to nevaaaar trust photos and their "MySpace angles"? My friends were promoting this venue for Martin Luther King weekend and since no where else was going to be open on a Sunday, I decided to come here. Usually if I'm on the VIP list, whoever is with me, can also go in with me. However, they weren't allowing it that night, so it created some problems for my friend. I didn't want to leave him outside waiting by himself in the regular guest list line, but I didn't want to wait either. Eventually, my promoter cut us in the line and we waited 15-20 minutes to get in (no cover for me, my friend paid $20). VENUE Eden is what used to be the old Opera venue and from what I hear is a lot smaller. Entering through a narrow hallway, you're greeted by an outside smoking patio with a bar and some tables with pretty cool decor. On your right, is the actual club area, which was quite small. Another bar is located on the right-hand side and the place is filled with tables, making the the dance floor extremely small. Supposedly, this is what the new Hollywood scene is like; more tables equals more revenue. DRINKS I had a Midori Sour and a Lemon Drop Shot, so I didn't exactly have enough to gauge how stiff the drinks were. But I personally thought the Midori was pretty weak. CROWD // MUSIC The crowd was Asian (Asian night, go figure); typical crowd you'd see at Exchange since it's the same companies promoting. To be honest, I don't remember much about the music. It was okay, regular Top 40 crap. I do, however, remember that I decided to leave at 1:30 when they started playing Rihanna's "What's My Name?" That shit is seriously overplayed. BOUNCERS // PARKING I don't remember seeing any... how strange. They existed though since I heard one of my friends was kicked out for yacking on the dance floor lulz~ There's a $10 lot directly across from it. MyHouse has spoiled me with cheap $5 parking, so I think $10 is ridiculous. Overall, the place is okay, nothing special, even if the decor is nice. I probably wouldn't come back unless a friend is having a special event here. Considering the drinks were pretty weak, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

Where do I even begin?... Well we got there for a bday party and for the 100 people that got confirmed in our party to be on the guestlist... not a SINGLE person was on the list. The chic at the register was giving us attitude. I complained and we got a few free drink tickets and got in for $10 girls/ $20 boys (which I suppose was the guestlist price anyway). The music was eh... there was no ventilation. Everyone was sweaty and sticky. There was a LINE to go out to the smoking area and to even LEAVE the club! You couldn't leave from the front door. They kept turning people away and telling them to go to the side door smoking area. How efficient... How smart is it to have people that are leaving the club go through the same door as people who are also going out to smoke. And this was all along the same hallway as where the bathrooms were. So there were lines for boys bathroom, girls bathroom, AND a line to go out to smoke and people clammering over others to even just leave the club... are you serious?? What a mess. The SECOND the night was over, you hear and see all the bouncers trying to kick people off of the sidewalks and front area of the club... how charming. Oh not to mention... drinks were overpriced. 2 words to describe my experience at MW: Frustration and Humid
