Epic, Legendary Tacos. Seriously, the chips w/ guac, I could live off of that!! And they share space with Rogue, a full bar /nightclub!! WOW! I love it. I want a job here, I would never leave. Fantastic food, full bar, reggae, what more could you want?? Sometimes I will come all the way to the city just for some of Nicks tacos. This place is just that good. Every chance I get I am at Nicks. Any trip to the airport, or the city, there has to be a detour thru Nicks. Everybody I have taken there just loves it, the service is always quick even if there is a huge line, just remember to bring cash! A+ Keep it up Nick.

A couple of week ago there was a mixer for Bay Area law schools at this place. My girl friends and I came to find our Stanford husbands. Of course, that didn't happen, but we had a good time anyway. There were two bars and the dance floor was decent-sized. It took what seemed like ages of awkward silences for the music to start, but once it did we were ok--as in no longer socially inept. I'd come back. I also met fellow ratecluber Nelson W. by chance that night after he added me as a friend two days before. It's a small world after all. =D

Update 3/5/08: The infatuation remains strong. This is my favorite place to be on a Sunday night. Great music, great vibe, and lots of positive energy. Top performances to date: 1) Ben Watt - I've seen him twice at Deep, and both nights were unforgettable. 2) DJ Heather - I popped my DJ Heather cherry last year, and I'm so glad I did. 3) JASK - He remains one of my favorites, and I hope he comes back to Deep one day. + + + + + I f*cking love this place. I want to make hot, sweaty love to whoever created their sound system. I always dance right in front of the DJ table so I can *feel* the music. The other night we ran into Marques Wyatt. He said "what's up" to my friend. It was one of the highlights of the night. I had a fan-girl moment when we spotted JASK ( http://www.myspace.com...) at the bar. We heard him spin another night, and I went up to compliment him. He thanked me and gave me a hug. Then he said, "I like your glasses." I practically screamed back, "I like yours, too!" Take Monday off so you can party at Deep. It's worth it. Drinks are expensive, so bring cash. It gets hot in there, so leave your jacket in the car. You're going to want to dance all night, so ladies, leave your purses at home. If you see a nerdy Asian girl in glasses getting her groove on right next to the speakers, it might be me.
