came here for a friend's bday. she got a table and a bottle and they were super nice about everything. kept checking if everything was okay etc. very attentive and polite. the music was okay. the dj was a little schizo, but i had a great time. they played the latest stuff as well as some of the 80s and 90s stuff. its not somewhere you would necessarily go to meet people, but if you go with a bunch of friends, its very fun. the staff and the overall mood is that nobody takes anything too seriously. the crowd is very diverse. a whole range of ages as well as a wide mix of people. vip, the bathroom's are very clean.

So I was just passing through Phoenix and decided to check this place out. What a good decision that turned out to be. I ordered the Delux Burger medium rare which was cooked perfectly, moist and flavorful. I also ordered the mixed basket of french fries and sweet potato fries which comes in a novel "mini shopping cart". The only thing cooler would have been if we were able to take it home as a souvenir. The fries were also cooked perfectly, not too oily but crispy with a nice subtle sweetness on the sweet potato fries. The staff was also very friendly and expedient and they have a huge selection of beers on tap. The only downside I can think of would be the price, which isn't exorbitant but also isn't the cheapest burger you're going to eat. Still, the quality of the food and the excellent service have me giving Delux an emphatic 2 thumbs up.

COLLECTIVE HIGH... from the deliciously different, inescapeably moveable reggae, reggaeton, dancehall and east indian beats to the delightfully CHEAP and STRONG exotic liquid mood enhancers, little baobab is an awesome venue for showing off your ragamuffin dance moves that you have perfected since you discovered bob marley and the wailers' "exodus." PERFECT VACATION from getting all glammed up in your BCBG's where you end up at a "nicer" place and pay $15 for parking, $20 at the door and $15 for your drink and tip. For all that, it cost me $10 for the cab, nothing to get in, and $5 for my drink at little baobab... well, actually somebody bought me a drink, but you get my drift. MUST WEAR LAYERS. it's a really small place, and gets really hot (hello? plus YOU look really hot as you peel them off while shaking your hips...) MUST IMBIBE: hibiscus lime vodka. MUST BRING: tissues. one unisex bathroom sometimes runs out of paper! no worries about the line though, you can still shake it with others while standing in line. you can even form a train. a love train... people all over the world... join hands...
