I was very displeased with my first visit to Busby. I wouldn't recommend this place. Last night (Saturday), my girl friends and I walked in a few minutes after 10pm, and had to pay cover. Cash ONLY. Bar turned make shift club. That's fine, but maybe they should use the money from the cover charge to replace the decor/fixtures in the venue. Only the upstairs area was open to the public on this night. I get the concept, musty, dimly lit bar with games and deejays that play music. Multiple televisions, lounge area, bar stools and tables. A place to hang out and have a few drinks, dance a bit. I feel this is one of those bars that had a great personality at one point in history, but now it's going down hill. It seems like the owner/management doesn't care to maintain the place. Bar games include: Billiards, Ping Pong, Skeeball, Darts, Backgammon, etc. Disappointingly, these games are not well maintained and some parts are missing or in dire need of replacement. There's a dance room area marked "Mile High Club." This would have been more enjoyable if there weren't SHARDS OF BROKEN GLASS/bottles/beverage cups rolling around on the floor. The conditioning vent near the stage in the dance area was leaking liquid. That night there were two deejays. One in the main dance area, and another that set up equipment in a small coat check-like closet that doubled as the storage space for liquor bottles. That night, the deejay was spinning and passing on bottles to the bartender/servers. On this particular night, the music selection and mixing from the deejay in the bar area was more "grooveable" and better than the deejay's music selection/mixing transitions in the dance floor area. The music in the bar area was LOUD (had to yell out conversations to friends). Even though there was music in the bar area, there was no place to actually dance to the music without causing a fire hazard. Smoking patio is crowded and small. The security staff were everywhere to be found around the venue. Which is neat, but maybe part of the payroll should be used to hire more cleaning/maintenance staff. There was vomit near the bar area, my girl friend and another patron had to inform the bartender with all the security staff, maybe one would have picked up on the stench. If management of Busby is reading this: FIX YOUR RESTROOM Sure, there's a restroom attendant but out of the few stalls provided, one was fully non functional, and the other did NOT HAVE A TOILET SEAT! The ones that were available were either jammed/clogged, or out of toilet paper. None had toilet seat covers. BUSBY MANAGEMENT: Take care of your venue. DO BETTER PLEASE! Or sell the business to someone who cares to upkeep.

OMG~~~ I remembered going there almost EVERY Thursday for 80's music. One of our friends was so into it we all ended up going there with her and got hooked ourselves. Crazy times, lots of students, dress code is very casual, people are in their Tshirts and jeans and trainers. Everyone was having fun in there. Long queue for the loo..... anyhow, good times!

This place is pretty cool. It's definitely one of the better clubs in the warehouse district...... and worth a visit. I came here on there "shop night" or whatever it's called. It was cool to walk around the club and check out local boutiques.... The food here is pretty decent too.
