came here for a friend's bday. she got a table and a bottle and they were super nice about everything. kept checking if everything was okay etc. very attentive and polite. the music was okay. the dj was a little schizo, but i had a great time. they played the latest stuff as well as some of the 80s and 90s stuff. its not somewhere you would necessarily go to meet people, but if you go with a bunch of friends, its very fun.  the staff and the overall mood is that nobody takes anything too seriously. the crowd is very diverse. a whole range of ages as well as a wide mix of people. vip, the bathroom's are very clean.

I like how they frisked me. They frisked me good. The way they frisked me, makes me how that they want us to be safe from guns and knives. I like that. *Once I walked in* I understand why I was being frisked so well. =oP I had a fun time here, go go dances were great. See some booty. The place is HOT, need some fresh air yo. HOT HOT HOT. No wonder girls wear short skirts, they know. . . .. .  shorter the better, so you don't sweat! Whats ghetto? a dude sneaking in a bottle of Patron and chugging it in the bathroom. How the hell did he get that bottle? They don't even serve Patron at the bars. No way, did he sneak that in. As I mentioned, guys got FRISKED! Songs were mostly southern hip hop, which I like. Neighborhood, is not good. Please ladies, have a big group to go with.

I abhor the "meat packing" district so much that I have successfully avoided ever having to say its name in full. I simply say MEPA. I've lived in New York for over 10 years and even I enjoyed the Buddha Bar last night! I know however that the six of us had a good time was only due to the fact that several variables were aligned perfectly such as: - it was a freezing cold night - it was a Sunday night - we were there at 8 PM (thus avoiding the usual craptacular MEPA crowd) - we ate in the bar area instead of sitting down for "linen service" The decor is definitely the best feature of the place. Its dark and opulent with ominous doors. The hallway is flanked by metal Asian figurines that may or may not start shooting death poison darts at you, and it makes you feel like you are in an Indiana Jones movie where you have to steal the giant Buddha statue in the back of the temple. So yeah, super fun! The food at the bar was delicious. The portions are really too small for a group of 6 to share, but the quality made up for quantity. The sushi rolls were pretty on par with some of the best sushi restaurants in town, and the fish was fresh and had a nice chill to it. The chicken samosa however did not please. It tasted like ground beef and the extremely, extremely flaky phyllo dough is a big NO-NO for any girls wearing sticky lip gloss! As for the music, soooo corny. We couldn't believe our ears when the DJ put on Enigma's Mea Culpa. That was scary. It made us think of other equally awful late 90's "nomad music" like Deep Forest... (shiver shiver). If the DJ wasn't so hot (tall, belly exposing dark hair woman) it would be unforgivable and intolerable. The crowd didn't look local that's for damn sure. Mainly out of towners, suspiciously tanned & blonde women wearing Juicy Couture, and other than the employees, the men there were generic in completely unmemorable attire with no apparent personal style.
