Our friend recommended me and my boyfriend to go to this restaurant and at first I was very excited because I had no idea what the concept of this restaurant was but "spice" is what got my attention. After the meal this is my conclusion: I am usually not a fan of asian fusion restaurants. Being that in general terms Asian American or Asian anything is just not as good as pure Asian food. And since the Spice Market is based on "Malaysian" street food... I don't think the price tag on any course should be higher than $3. Most of the food from Spice Market was just purely too salty... either a) too much soy sauce, b) the flavor is just off. It is not bad to be honest, but, I have higher standards when it comes to Asian food. The only thing I liked was the tuna tartar in curry sauce

TnG is a good place if you're willing to pay..... and white. Apparently there can only be a certain amount of Asians in the place, to maintain "racial equity." Needless to say, I will be taking myself and my wallet elsewhere.

Martunis has just plain amazing martinis! yippy! Stay away from the well vodka and call your vodka or you might just be paying the price the next morning. This is a bizarre place for sure. Caters to mixed crowd between gay, bi, straight, trans, etc. Bizarre - but I love this place! Upon walking into the place there's a wrap-around bar with large fake columns off around the bar - excellent Feng Shui for sure! The bar tenders are dressed up old school and wearing bow-ties. I believe the bow-ties say... "we take our drink making seriously...and we make kick-ass drinks..." Often very busy during peak hours and it can be difficult to find a place to sit while sipping on your huge and well made martinis. The room adjacent to the main room has a piano and there are often sing alongs being played.... Serious serious martinis and prices you'd expect to pay for a kick-ass drink. Probably the best martinis in SF - price to quality/size value! Great place to drop by before dinner or after dinner. When we go bar hopping in SF, we often start off here because we're sure to get a quick buzz with their simply superbly made cocktails. What's not to like.....plus the mix crowd makes it kind of interesting....and though it's a mixed crowd....it is welcoming to all kinds alike...and never any bad vibes. Give them bartenders a good tip - because they're gonna pure you a large martini made to perfection.....
