by Megs k. on Went on friday night for dinner and drinks with my boyfriend and was pleasantly surprised, since the rest of the night was not going well. Had to wait a while for a table which was kind of a bummer since we had made reservations. But once we were sat the chips and salsa were delicious, the guacomole was only ok. But the Velvet Margarita Salad i had was excellent! And my boyfriends burrito was delicious! The mango margarita was pretty good but a can of Tecate was definitely over priced. All in all i'd say it was good and i'd definitely eat there again :)
by Celeste C. on I had never head of this place until I was dragged out for my friend's birthday on Saturday. I'm not in love with this place or any dance club really (which is sad because I LOVE to dance), but there are some good things, so I will outline. Good: No cover before 10:30. Coat check w/optional fee. DJs were pretty good. They played a lot of weird remixes, but they also played my favorite Bhangara song. Bartender was friendly (for tips) and told corny jokes. Bad: Empty before 10:30 :( with $15 cover after it. Music could be a little lame at times. Way too crowded for someone who doesn't like large packed crowds. (I hyperventilated). No one interesting to meet, especially lesbians for my friend. People didn't really start dancing until they had enough alcohol in them. Three tequila sunrises didn't give me that much of a buzz. I wanted to switch to wine (cause at least it has a set content but the bartender made fun of me). If I was a hoochie mama undergrad I might come here again but I kinda doubt it.
by Armando Hurtis on Loved it. Great atmosphere, cocktails delicious! and a wonderful surprise. We are new to the neighborhood and I like to have a place nearby that makes me want to dress up a little and look beautiful. Mamajuana's is it!
