by DC T. on I was very excited to go to Bootie with my friends last Saturday. We arrived, waited 15 minutes in line, they checked my ID and asked me to step out of line claiming I was too drunk. Yes, we had been drinking but we were far from out of controll. After some waiting around they claimed I'd already been thrown out of the club twice that night and werent letting me back in. Even though nobody in my group had ever been there nor been stamped. After more waiting around they said they were going to 'pass' on my group... all the while more drunk and rediculous people are going in and out of the place. They were total jerks and just wouldn't own up to the fact they had obviously mistaken me for someone else. RUDE RUDE RUDE, I'll never spend my money in this place.
by Nicole R. on 3.5 All good for a post-work weekday drink. I dislike that on weekends this place suddenly shies away from it's laid-back weekday sport's bar style, to instead pose as crowded, wanna-be trendy club. Own the sport's bar cool, say I! Go ahead, even keep the dance floor -- actually, I like the dance floor -- just down with the pretensions - and the $10 weekend cover. That said, during the week it's a great, chill spot to grab a drink with friends. It's not overly crowded and very easy to get a table, and there's always the option to play games. I've been here a few times, but last week was the first time that I ordered food from the bar menu, and I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised. I split 2 appetizers with a friend I was meeting up with for drinks. We had an order of spring rolls, which were nice and hot and crispy. We also had the Avocado, Brie & Oven Dried Tomato Crostini - kind of an unexpected option to find of sports bar's menu. It's wasn't exactly crostini, but rather more like two long, skinny open-faced sandwiches. Not too shabby! Our waitress, Sarah, was very attentive and just cute as a button. In her honor, I give the extra half star for good service. Bottom line is - awesome for a low-key weeknight; on weekends, try and get there early to avoid the hullabaloo.
by Quincy Vanderboom on 3 things i have never seen before. men and women using the same bathroom (looks weird under the stall doors), $6 coors light bottles, and Skrewdiver on the radio.
