by jane c. on I've been to Lime for brunch, happy hour, and nightlife. Brunch - food is mediocre but the bottomless mimosas are the best. The music plays nonstop and it's just a great place to go with friends on a lazy weekend. Happy hour - $5 martinis, $2 well drinks, and a dollar appetizers. Can't beat that. The crowd is small(er) but I have a great time. Evening (PM) - Lounge/Dinner. This was my least favorite only because there is no space to get your booty-shaking on. The music is softer in the PM although I think it should be the opposite. I love you, Lime. I love your white leather chairs and virgin america-inspired ambient lighting!
by Lisa B. on Compound has closed its doors to the weekly partiers that venture out each weekend. Now Compound is only open for special events (e.g., The Bert Shows Big Wicked). When this place was open on a regular basis it was only so-so. I started going to Compound after Atlanta's super club, Vision - not VisionS, closed its doors. I have yet to find an adequate replacement for Vision and in fact, have given up on the Atlanta club scene for the most part. I totally shunned Compound after having a terrible NYE experience in 2006/2007. The place was absolutely packed and I stood waiting at the bar for 45 minutes and never got a drink. Maybe I am not hot enough, or have big enough boobs or something to warrant serving me before someone else, but this place was terribly understaffed at the bar. I ended up just leaving because there was no point in staying if I couldn't have my favorite $12 (overpriced) cocktail to enjoy. The pros to this place is that it provides both indoor and outdoor atmospheres which is great.
by Brent Birney on Loved it. Great atmosphere, cocktails delicious! and a wonderful surprise. We are new to the neighborhood and I like to have a place nearby that makes me want to dress up a little and look beautiful. Mamajuana's is it!
