by Drew W. on originally, i wasn't able to get in because i wore a beanie, vans, and a thermal. i assumed there was no dress code. the bouncer (a tall black guy) was cool enough to suggest that i could get in if I'd grab a jacket in my car. so by the time i got back to the club with my denim jacket, the guest list was closed. however, the bouncer i was talking to earlier told the other bouncer to let me in. i actually went to Roe about year ago on a Saturday in 2009. it was a kind of a cockfeast that night. but the previous time the crowd is usually pretty diverse and cool. we had some tokyo teas at the bar, they were strong. music was good. they had top 40 on the top floor and house music on the bottom floor. great customer service, which is appreciated.
by Richard K. on I used to come here when it was called Le Prive, well before I was of age. Now I come and everyone is 5 years younger than me. This is not necessarily a bad thing i guess? You also got to love the collection of BMW 3 serieses that everyone that goes to this club drives. Strictly for nostalgia reasons it gets 3 stars.........
by Joel Oien on I'm very difficult when it comes to rating a club. 1. upstairs, is huge, bright, house-ish music. lots of space and not many people. waste of space, move this downstairs to room 1 2. downstairs room 1 is dark. Dungeon dark. Hip-hop and obscure rap music. packed with people. good draft of air coming in though. give it a little more light, move the house music down here. they'll fit. move hip-hop/rap upstairs. also fix the playlist. it's kinda weird. 3. downstairs room 2 is bright like the upstairs. the wall has some funny cushioning... mixed music dim this place up a little. Don't approach a girl with arms wide open, doing a head nod. What does that mean? Do you need a hug? Do you want me to dance around you as if you were a statue? I'm sorry, I don't get it and I sure as hell am not going to dance with you. If you're going to ask someone to dance. just do it. The bartender was pretty good and it was easy getting his attention. I never had to wait. Except he didn't know what goes into a scooby snax. The line waiting to get into the club wasn't too bad. If you greet the person checking your name off the guestlist with "I HAVE TO PEE!!", they might find your name faster. Overall I had an OK time. 3 stars for the time had, but venue is still 2 stars. I like to dance to good music.
