by April B. on This is a great after work spot. Low key, good drinks, a "mind your own business" type of attitude which is a PLUS. Every now and then, they have a live band playing in the corner which can be entertaining when inebriated enough. Only bad part about it is the very, VERY cramped spaces. They can't possibly expect drunken people to wiggle through between those tables unscathed do they?

by Alex M. on If you're in Philly, like fish / sushi, and have money to spend Morimoto is a great choice. The decor is very trendy from start to finish; from the translucent green front doors to the restaurant glow that subtly changes throughout your meal. In terms of food, Morimoto is my favorite Stephen Starr restaurant. If you're a carnivore like myself do NOT miss the Kobe beef tartare. I usually spend 10-15 minutes savoring each delicious bite. The rock shrimp tempura melts in your mouth. For an entree definitely go with the omakase. Its great for sharing. Well worth the price. The service that comes along with the omakase is really amazing. In addition to that I highly recommend the Ishi Yaki Buri Bop. Simply an amazing dish of yellowtail that cooks in front of you in a hot stone bowl. The desserts are average but you wont need them. Bring your camera if you're a fan of the Iron Chef. He can be seen all night cooking at the sushi bar and is very accomodating to his fans.
