I've been to Morimoto's three times, and each time it was a magnificent experience. A friend of mine happens to work there as a hostess and she treated me to a fabulous lunch. For appetizers she ordered the King Crab along with a sea urchin hand roll and yellowtail sushi. The chef also brought us a tuna dish as a compliment. As an entree I got a sushi box with wasabi rice and it was divine. For dessert she order the matcha moussecake and the coffee gelee (I know, she absolutely spoiled me). Both were equally delicious. When I went with my parents I got the sushi combination platter and I ate every last morsel. I have a small stomach so I was completely stuffed. The food at Morimoto's is very pricey, but worth every bite. The servers were polite and well informed, the only problem is that the food took a bit too long to come out. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxing, swanky, and everything is clean-looking and chic. I also love the bathrooms, the sink is so cool!

The Circle is the newest Korean Club in NYC, which opened mid-Feb. I only stopped in at 2:00am after hopping around the LES, and I think they only let us in because it was 3 ladies and me. Mind you, you will normally need to make a reservation and get a table, just like the Korean clubs found in LA. This is the old Arena, and the decor is well done. Music was good and the dance floor was pretty spacious. We only stayed an hour, and we left because the ladies said that the guys at the club were being too aggressive with their approaches. But I guess that is what you can expect. As the only real Korean club in NYC, I definitely recommend everyone to check it out at one point. But don't get hooked on it. It's nice to check out once or twice, but too many Koreans go to Circle every freakin weekend, which is so pathetic. There are so many good places in NYC. Diversify!!!

honestly? i feel a little guilty about giving STRATA a 1. it's really the promoters of Saturday nights are the ones who deserve this rating. by the way- it's Coolout ent. & Eric Virgil. you suck. i was RSVP'ed for June 9th at Strata. Apparently, the Guest list closes at 1:30 am. I was there at 11:15pm on Saturday night... am I crazy or did they advertise that ladies are FREE before 12 midnight? Well, I was with 4 ladies AND on the RSVP list and the box office told me I had to pay $20 each girl. We went back and forth from the girls out in the front (with the lists & ticket stubs) and the men at the box office. It was still only 11:20pm... yet 3 of us had to each pay $20. That's total insanity. The box office started yelling at us and said that LADIES AREN'T FREE. Even the girls out in the front told us we were... but when we asked them to talk to the box office... they ignored us. the music is your typical Hip Hop/Reggae mix. the same thing you've heard over and over again in the exact same order. they need to buy more vinyls, man. you hear this mix in every club. however, it was fun to sing a long and scream out lyrics to your favorite joints with your friends... don't count on dancing much, though. there's no room to move- let a lone a DANCE FLOOR. it's all sectioned-off for VIP guests... but VIP guarantees you NOTHING with these promoters- therefore no one gets tables there. LAME-O. the layout IS completely confusing. you really don't know what the hell they're trying to do with the space. upstairs lounge looks like a cafe or something. the VIP sections are bigger than the bar/dance area. OoOokay? drinks are horrible. music is "eh". few eye candy here and there. tis all.
