This spot is lovely. I had a totally different picture of this joint in my mind's eye before I went there for Amy Thompson's Art Opening. The bar was nice and warm, the service was OUTSTANDING (thanks for the happy hour hook-up after 8 o'clock. Take note folks, this is what good tipping will get you) and the folks belly up seemed local and friendly. Even though I didn't partake in the food, it looked and smelled great (not your regular bar nachos and greasy fries bullshit). Even Santa Claus was there doing whiskey shots with Satan. That's how cool Rite Spot is! Go and enjoy!

Simply amazing. Sauces are what makes these dishes so good. Not too overpowering, pefectly complementary. I have been there 3x to date, all before the one in Chelsea opened. I hear the NYC one isn't as good. There is an 80/100/120 omakase. Do yourself a favor and go for the $120 omakase. $120 had lobster, better sashimi fish, better and more sushi. You won't regret it. There is also a drink omakase for $60. I believe they started serving lunch as well now. I have been there 3x to date. Decor: Hip, edgy. Notes: If you tell them you have dined there before, they will make sure your omakase has different dishes the next time around.

Will have to agree with the others... Earth is a largely southern Asian crowd. We got in free of cover, and waited less than 5 minutes in line after midnight on a weekend. The lofty ceiling with an upstairs area makes the place seem a lot bigger. Tables on the side, bar at the back. Belly dancers trapped in this tiny upstairs area in the front - how the heck they got up there or if they were even real, I still don't know! Great undiluted drinks - 4 was enough to knock me out... so maybe I'm biased because of the alcohol but I thought the music was great and had a really fun night there. However... word has it that this place is being bought out by another club. Not sure what's going to come out of that...
