by Jennifer Y. on the venue is beautiful, love the layout and the spacious dance floors.. the decor reminded me slightly of tao in vegas, only bigger and not on multiple floors. the scene here on a wednesday night is straight out of an episode of tool academy. this place is also a huge tourist attraction, filled with european men who speak little to no english (that could be a plus if that's your thing). drinks are way overpriced, $45 for a shot of grey goose, hennessey, and kamikaze. all the female bartenders were wearing cheesy devil horns, i guess i didn't get the memo that it was halloween in january. i'd come back for the venue but i would pass on the crowd and drinks. music was okay, standard hip hop and house

Exactly the way I like to spend a Sunday in the city, opted to come here this weekend instead of the Big Apple BBQ - wise decision from what other people have told me. I can't find anything critical about this place; even though it was packed there were plenty of places to sit, all the tables have great views either on the top level, or the main deck under the roof (next time I want to be on the side dingy boat). Our bartenders were all friendly and fast (I'd settle for either one) they were both. If the review ended here, the Frying Pan is still a great time - between the view, service and secretly hoping for a helicopter collision... (kidding) The food was delicious...had a burger and calamari and both score an A. Haven't been here at night, but have to imagine it's a great time, I'll be back wearing my nautical themed Pashmina afghan...
by Stewart Fullenkamp on I recently moved down here so every thing has been new scenes and under scrutiny to my NY eye. The set up was nice with an area to dance and another to sit around. Good for a mixed crowed, which is always a plus in my books. Not an over crowded scene like I'm usto with sweat box crowding (another plus). The music was back and forth heard a few repeats but then I did get there early so it was predetermined with the switch if DJ's to hear it happen. Nothing really stood out about it but I would go back again.
