I love Pod. So, when I first heard about the "All you can eat" special, I made a reservation that day. In fact, my parents, and a few friends made reservations right away, too. When the day finally arrived for our all you an eat experience (I read a few negative reviews on here in the days prior to my reservation, but got a great report from friends who attended the night before) the restaurant was bustling with a great crowd. It felt more like a weekend night out than a Thursday. My friends and I were celebrating my new job- so the $5 Pink martini's were an added bonus to the all you can eat special. Management and our waiter were great, too. They sent edamame and shu mi to the table!! They explained the rules to us, and after much discussion at the table, only 2 of us ordered the special. I was amazed at the amount of sushi that my friends ate, and how quickly it came out-considering how crowded the restaurant was. I had my standard pod Caesar, which is my favorite salad in the city, and my other friend had the short rib dim sum- which was fabulous. Ive had a similar dish at continental- but the one a pod blows the Continental one away- its on par with the short rib at buddakan (my 2nd favorite Starr restaurant). The meal ended with what our table touted as the highlight of the meal- fluffernutter spring rolls and sesame cheesecake- UNBELIEVABLE! All in all, great job, Pod. You are trying something new, competing with restaurant week, and we had a great time, and a great meal. Cant wait to go back!

i came here on friday night around... 730 ish. the place was pretty empty. actually VERY empty. their happy hour runs until 9 ? 9:30? pm and is pretty awesome with $4 well drinks and $4 dollar wines. their house merlot is actually pretty damn decent! their appetizers are decent and no complaints- except for the artichoke dip that was just way too salty. the waitress was super friendly very attentive! will def agree with jhi c. it has potential but needs to stir the right crowd. i hope this place doesnt start drawing a ghetto crowd. and they need to figure out what they are going to do - is it going to be hip hop? salsa? comedy??? and the rateclubs reviews state salsa nights, but when we went there was hip hop music playing (although noone was dancing- afterall how can 10 ppl start a party?) and then i got a rateclubs message from one o their promoters stating they were having comedy night? ill definitely be back and hope to be amongst a crowd next time!

Ok, I LIKE the food here! And consider myself pretty picky! I think it beats the Royal East and possibly PuPu Hot Pot. Anyway, the service is always nice and very prompt, and where else can you get something decent to eat (by which I mean, not Wendy's, McDonald's, or some horrific-for-you pizza) at 2:30 am???
