One of my favorite places to go on my days off to have a latte and just space out. If I'm there longer, I'll bring my laptop and treat myself to a salad. (I've had a Caprese salad and the strawberry salad, which were both sooooo fresh!). I also indulged in a dark chocolate-chocolate chunk cupcake topped with powdered sugar. Yum! A perfect stop if you need to shop around Union Square, too. If you're like me/not really into bars: once the lights go down and the music volume goes up, it's time to go.

I got my flippy floppy's... Exactly the way I like to spend a Sunday in the city, opted to come here this weekend instead of the Big Apple BBQ - wise decision from what other people have told me. I can't find anything critical about this place; even though it was packed there were plenty of places to sit, all the tables have great views either on the top level, or the main deck under the roof (next time I want to be on the side dingy boat). Our bartenders were all friendly and fast (I'd settle for either one) they were both. If the review ended here, the Frying Pan is still a great time - between the view, service and secretly hoping for a helicopter collision... (kidding) The food was delicious...had a burger and calamari and both score an A. Haven't been here at night, but have to imagine it's a great time, I'll be back wearing my nautical themed Pashmina afghan...

It must have been the smoking and strong Jack & Cokes that made me entranced with the bathroom floor. Not to mention that there was just something sexy about the loo itself...relief in dim lighting? I only came here for a drink or 3 but I was on sensory overload with the decor, the patio bar with cool bartender, and a couple of people I small-talked with. I hadn't even left and was already planning my next visit, starting off sober. Maybe try the food? Not much more to share than these remnants of what the alcohol didn't kill in my brain. At least I THINK I had fun ; )
