In town for work, my expectations for Tuesday night nightlife were set insanely low - and in all honesty, The Cinch was pretty dead. That said, the bartender, Eric, was amazing - friendly, informative, and gave me the best head I've had in a long time on a Guinness. I'll assuredly be back.

This is my favorite of the Starr restaurants. Ambiance is gorgeous with a wall of candles, dimly lit rooms draped in fabrics and low banquettes against the wall. We started with diver scallops which were perfectly cooked, sweet and spicy, and then the grilled octopus salad. I loved this dish. It was delicate and perfectly cooked - not rubbery at all. My meal was the lemon and olive oil seared tuna and my husband had the lamb chops. Both were delicious. We had glasses of wine that paired well and our server was perfect - we never noticed him unless we needed him. Very sexy and romantic vibe.

There is an orgy in my mouth! I've been here many a times and I've learned a few things along the way that I would like to pass on to new comers to Morimoto. To start, the famous Iron Chef is known for his sushi, so stick to just that, his sushi. When I first came here, I made the mistake of ordering from their menu and was totally disappointed! I am glad that I ordered a side of assorted sushi, it was like heaven happened in my mouth! A few weeks later I came back for more, this time I did their $100 plate of sushi and a bunch of their appetizers (their tuna tartar, just melts in your mouth and the fruit, oh my gosh! their cold noodle, for some reason, i'm a sucker for that dish, add all the stuff into the sauce, all the ingredients just enhances the taste!). I loved my choice of just ordering their sushi and their appetizers... I loved it... love, love, love! One random time that I decided to venture out there, I got to meet the famous big guy himself, Morimoto! It was great! He was very sweet, bubbly, charming, and greeted everyone that wanted to meet him. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera on me that night, such a disappointment. So take it from me, if you're going to go there, please sit downstairs, and have your camera, he just might be walking around greeting his faithful followers! Here are a few things I love about Morimoto, you do not need a reservation to eat here, just come in and go upstairs to their "bar" area. You can just show up, order from the menu and be served all the drinks you want, for a price that is. Yes, it's expensive, but truly, how can you pass the chance of consuming salmon that just melts like butter, or freshly made wasabi? I don't know about you, but I can't!
