Went to Bimbo's on Friday to see "She Wants Revenge". The club is VERY cool like other reviewers said. We took their advice and sat at one of the small tables on the side and boy were we glad we did! The floor was packed with standing fans, but at our table we could see perfectly over everyone's heads and had a clear view of the stage. Awesome. The sound is great in there as well and the ambiance is dark and very old school. The drinks were a bit pricey for what you get, but the service was excellent. I saw someone get busted for taking a camera pic, which I knew was a no-no, but peeps were taking pics throughout the night, so it didn't look like there was much enforcement in that department. We boogied out of there at the end of the last song (I read exiting was a nightmare so decided to get a head start), and walked 2 blocks to the Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf. Oh and keep in mind its a cash only place. We knew that going in which was helpful. Great night, would go to Bimbo's for an intimate concert anytime...

I have been to two live events here for Jameson Whiskey and Jack Daniels. I'd have to say that the Jack Daniel's event was spectacular. Ozomatli, a latin fusion band from Los Angeles rocked out con corazon. Y, yo canto y you bailo por cinco horas. It reminds me of a modern day Beacon Theatre (NYC) where I saw Dylan play except there are no chairs and no ballistrades. I am not sure if I'd go there unless, there was some specific event taking place. I definitely suggest Ozomatli. The band is super fragilistic latino east los angeles mackadocious.
