Usually when you work somewhere, you get over it quickly. The food becomes boring, the atmosphere loses it's magic, the staff is annoying... I worked at Morimoto for 3 years, and will still swear it is the best restaurant in Philadelphia. The fish arrives fresh, sometimes live, and sushi chefs painstakingly break it down in the lower kitchen. The staff is full of artists and educators moonlighting as servers (as well as truly professional servers). The line cooks are athletes, the bartenders artists, the management professors, and the hosts are hot. For the best experience do omakase. Some reviews below say that staff is over-attentive or over explain the food, it's called passion. If you don't want table side descriptions, you can ask to omit them. The carpaccio is the best thing on the menu, if you don't do omakase (in which it is featured) you should order it, kobe beef, whitefish, or tako.

Ladies, steer clear of here for your Sunday Funday....just go to Jones. The guys are here to watch the game and would rather not hear you squealing or be bothered by your questions....."How do they not trip over the yellow line?" The only real sports bar in the Marina, the beer is cold and the popcorn is hot. Go Niners!

Uh uh. Nope, not for this girl. Turns out being a young-fun-twenty-two-year-old is depraved and expensive. $15 cover? Bah! This is still Seattle right? Perhaps if I ever become a "young professional" I will begin to crave senseless activities that require little clothes and lots of money. Ha.
