by Lindsay G. on OK, everything you've heard is true. Blue Note is a tourist trap, crowded, mediocre food, but the acts they have are pretty awesome. Saw Amel Larrieux last night and she was fantastic. Sound was great and she had the freedom to roam the aisles and have us sing with her. However, seating at the tables and attempting to eat is just horrific, There's no way 6 adults can squeeze into two small square-ish tables, let alone eat with forks and knives. The food's real bad and the drinks are small and it's expensive, but I was happy to see Amel live and in such a small venue!
by Corey J. on As much as I've raved about this place, I was positive I had left a review. Evidently I hadn't so here goes.... I should be fair and preface this review with the fact that I had been unemployed for quite a while and the Tuna Tartare burger and Foie Gras milkshake Donya purchased for me here was a far cry from the Snack Ramen I had grown accustomed to. Be that as it may, my taste buds thought it was all to die for and I was reduced to uploading pictures of my meal to facebook, basically telling everyone to eat their hearts out. What can I say? I was an unemployed faggot, scorned. Incidentally so, I now have a fabulous job, not more than a mile from Flip Booteekwa...I've had my eye on that Kobe and Foie Gras burger so you can expect an update some time soon.

Only bad thing is waiting for the elevator to get upstairs. It is $6 for a shoe rental and $6.50/game now (it was only $6/game a few months ago). I suppose they are good for corporate events and parties. They have huge projection TVs showing a game at any given time. Their electronic scoring is state of the art. Not sure when they offer the glow in the dark bowling. Upstairs is a bar/lounge called Pressure. I took my meetup here: http://www.meetup.com/...
