I for one LOVE themed bars, so this place was very entertaining for me.  There was a pretty laid back, but classy feel to the place.  It was clean and interestingly designed, and there were plenty of seats off to the sides for those that just like to sit around with friends over some great drinks. While my actual experience at the bar/lounge were enjoyable, here are two things that knock it down a star, maybe two if I didn't have such a good time with my friends here. 1) The wait to get in is terribly long!  It felt like we were waiting in line for a ride at Disneyland!  It took us about 45 minutes to an hour to get to the front of the line, where they performed a dress code check and turned people away who didn't meet the requirements.  So FYI - dress nicely...with no sneakers, or else you'll wait in line just to get turned away.  We saw many unhappy people being rejected at the door.  2)  Do not come here if you have a tight budget.  Drinks are ridiculously over priced!  But, if you're a lightweight like me, I strongly suggest the Midori Sour.

I went here with friends for dinner while visiting NYC.  The decor and ambiance are what you would expect for a trendy NYC restaurant, however, we were seated in a very dark section of the restaurant with only 1 votive candle on the table.  The waiter was kind enough to bring 2 additional votive candles, but I still felt like I was eating in the dark.  The music was also a little loud for a restaurant, but that was minor.  Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu, making suggestions and checking on us frequently.  The cocktails were hit or miss.  I enjoyed the Black on Black, but not so much the Berry cocktail.  The food was really good.  I had the Spicy Beef salad as an appetizer and it was an amazing collection of flavors.  For my entree, I had the Tiger Shrimp, which was very good, but not great.  My friend had the lamb, which was suggested by our waiter.  I got to try it and I was glad that I did, because it was so tender and very good.  We tried a variety of desserts, which were all good.  Overall, it was a great dining experience and I would definitely go again.

Any venue that has a naked lady statue in the lobby gets my vote. BTW Jamie Lidell rocked this house like a TRUE star!
