by Natalie S. on Right on the top floor of the new W Hollywood, Drai's apparently is the place to be and be seen in Hollywood. It appears to be super hard to get into, unless you have some sort of connection or buy a table or a cabana, or of course are famous. If you are none of the above, I guess you have to be prepared to wait in a long line. Good thing about the W is that they have a lot of different bars, so you can always go there instead. I came for a birthday party and they booked two cabanas. The outside area is really nice, if it is warm. Unfortunately last weekend was really chilly and the heat lamp by the cabana was broken. It is definitely more chill outside. They have small speakers by the cabanas so you can still hear the music that is playing inside. I really liked the look of the upstairs cabanas. The pool didn't look very large, but maybe if you are in it, it'll seem bigger. Inside is a different story. It is very long and narrow and when you go anywhere you have to walk through the dance floor, which was packed. Yes, lots of pretentious people with attitudes, people dancing on the tables and people on the dance floor. They played a lot of hip hop and the scene was very lively.

The DJ was good until they decided to air his newly recorded music video....which he proceeded to play 5 times in a row! Same song ... same video.... 5 times!? I mean really? I will be trying this place again just to make sure I rate it fairly, but I really hope they don't do that again or I may be forced to to lower this rating. :(
